( Jan 2, 2018 - Leeds, ON ) - Officers of the Leeds and the Thousand Islands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are continuing an investigation into multiple criminal charges after a traffic stop.
On January 2, 2018 at about 11:30 p.m. OPP officers stopped a vehicle in Seeley's Bay for a Highway Traffic Act Offence. After the stop, a weapons and drug investigation began.
40 year old Lee Kitt of Kingston and 33 year old Christopher Lang of Joyceville face joint charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, and for Failing to Comply with a Recognizance. Kitt is further charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer. Both men were held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on January 3, 2018 to answer to their charges.
30 year old vehicle occupant Charley Halladay of Rideau Lakes faces a charge of Possession of Cocaine. She is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville on February 9, 2018 to answer to her charge.
The investigation continues.
