  2. New warnings regarding the use of certain sedative and anesthetic drugs during pregnancy and in early childhood

    Anesthetics and sedatives are used to prevent pain during surgery and other procedures or tests. However, the use of certain sedative and anesthetic drugs may have an impact on children's developing brains.


  3. Expanded Recall: Midwest Design Imports Inc. recalls 'Touch of Nature' Feather Boas

  7. Drive Medical Canada recalls Michael Graves Solutions Therma Moist Heating Pads

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Drive Medical Canada to arrange to return the heating pads for a full refund. For more information, consumers can contact Drive Medical Canada by telephone toll free at 1-877-224-0946, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. 

  8. Wohali Outdoors recalls Bass Pro Shops children's sleepwear

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ceiling fans and contact Monte Carlo to receive a free bracket replacement kit with instructions. Consumers can hire an electrician to perform the repair and Monte Carlo will reimburse them for the repair.

Sibutramine was previously used to treat obesity but is no longer authorized for sale in Canada because of its association with an increased risk of cardiovascular side effects such as heart attack and stroke.
